The fifth Northern Power Women Awards will be broadcast live on Monday 8 March 2021 from MSP virtual Studios!
The Awards take place between 6:00pm - 7:30pm with 'tables' being open from 5:30pm and will close at 8pm.
The Northern Power Women Awards showcase role models and celebrate the many different ways women contribute to the Northern Powerhouse.
The 2020 awards attracted almost 1500 nominations which have been shortlisted to 89 finalists.
The awards also recognise the 2020 additions to the Power and Future Lists, which showcase current and future changemakers, leaders and influencers.
Whilst the NPWAwards will look a little different this year we will continue flying the flag for the north. At a time when small businesses and charities are struggling, we are taking action and paying it forward to support local business and charities across the north.
We are sourcing a special locally sourced food and drink package to send out. If you would like to order one, please register your interest so we can capture your details and address and ensure it is delivered in time to enjoy during the awards. Please register by Friday, 5th February (if you have already booked a place/table you will already have received an email). So if you are already a guest or have purchased a ticket please register your address details. If you would like to book a speacial package to receive to enjoy on the night register your interest before 5th February please.
Alternatively, we are creating an opportunity for everyone to donate to one of twelve regional charities from NPW community – details to follow.
We are passionate about creating an environment for you to celebrate together. We will be in touch before 15 February to share further details about the evening and how you can access a virtual table hub and viewing party information. If you would like to book, we will share a link for you and your guests so you can chat and informally network with your table whilst watching the awards. If you haven't yet booked your place and would like to join us for the largest virtual celebration of gender equality in Europe, its not too late. You can book your place to join our viewing party and receive a locally sourced food and drink package. Our ticket price not only enables you to join the celebration but includes a #payitforward contribution so our future leaders are able to join the celebrations too, and supports local female led businesses in your area.
The inaugural awards were held in Manchester in March 2016, attracting 440 business leaders, change agents, and inspiring male and female role models. In 2017, 520 celebrated success across the North and in 2018, 580 attended and we received a phenomenal 900+ nominations. The last NPW Awards attracted 850+ guests to celebrate the trail blazers across the North as well as 900+ nominations.
The awards celebrate the women and men working towards creating gender balance in organisations and businesses across the entire Northern Powerhouse. Winners are profiled and their stories shared to encourage other individuals and businesses to step up and take action.
